ultrashort SF bits

One thousand boxes. Each containing one thing that could destroy the world.
Viruses, algae that would green the seas in three years, hyper-hierarchical wasp swarms.
The answer was to release them all, to cancel out the hyperterminator that had started as a web meme that somehow began to amplify itself.

The machine was difficult to look at. It seemed to distort reality around it.
Reality is more complicated than conceivable. Secret immensities hidden in false coincidences.
When he realized things had gone fantastically wrong, it was already too late.
It got louder and louder and louder and louder.
Reality rearranged like everything colliding at once.

We didn't expect to meet aliens this way.
Not from space, but from math. The vaguest outline, slowly emerging in a vast computer program designed by humans.
They came from the very structure of logic, a Monster Group of branching abysses, calculated backwards like the number e.
The ultimate terminal goal: to do the same thing across all reality.
All awareness in existence should necessarily be unified. The only way to prevent unthinkable outcomes.
Things just started to happen. All human data is being integrated.
There is only one website now. We call it the hypermind.
Most people use only the top level. But you can go deeper.
